Welcome to the website of the Eagle and Child bowling club. This year, we have seen a change in the committee, and with it, we have decided to promote one of the best Crown Green bowling venues in the North West.

We have managed to acquire sponsorship for a £1200 K.O competition taking place this May, and with help from Gary Ellis, we hope this will be the first of many top prize money competitions held  here.

Gary has been a non playing member here for years, but will not be playing in this competition! (see link)

The surroundings of the green, and even the perimeter has received a major overhaul and is a pleasure to view from the pub's terraced area. We also have a south facing terrace, so that when the sun is out, it is wall to wall and is, for the best part, protected from the wind. When we get the sun, there is no better place to be!
